Holly Selvaggi was born in <st1:place st="on"><st1:city st="on">Erie</st1:City>, <st1:state st="on">Pennsylvania</st1:State></st1:place>. She started singing when she was only four years old, making her debut as the Blue Fairy in the play "Pinocchio" at the Maryvale Preschool in <st1:city st="on"><st1:place st="on">Erie</st1:place></st1:City>.<span style=""> </span>On opening night, as she began singing her first solo "When You Wish upon a Star," the microphone had to be removed from the stage while she sang as the size and clarity of her voice caused the microphone to malfunction.<span style=""> </span>From that night on it was clear to everyone that Holly should pursue musical studies.<span style=""> </span>She studied piano during elementary school and voice and piano during high school and was accepted into The Eastman School of Music in <st1:place st="on"><st1:city st="on">Rochester</st1:City>, <st1:state st="on">New York</st1:State></st1:place> where she majored in applied voice.<span style=""> </span>She received a Bachelors of Music Degree with highest distinction in 1977 and a Masters Degree in 1979. She was a winner of the Eastman Concerto Competition in 1978 and a Winner of the Eastman Performer's Certificate. Holly was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and studied voice and performed in and around <st1:place st="on"><st1:city st="on">Hamburg</st1:City>, <st1:country-region st="on">Germany</st1:country-region></st1:place>. After several years performing in <st1:country-region st="on">Germany</st1:country-region> and <st1:city st="on"><st1:place st="on">New York City</st1:place></st1:City>, Holly entered Northwestern School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor Degree in 1985.<span style=""> </span>Holly now lives in <st1:place st="on"><st1:city st="on">Cleveland</st1:City>, <st1:state st="on">Ohio</st1:State></st1:place> with her husband Clark Harvey and is very involved in local musical institutions.
